Financial Destinations Inc. (later FDI International) is a privately held company, founded in 2003 and headquartered in Windham, New Hampshire. It was founded by William Andreoli, now CEO and President of the company.

Known in its first years as a financial education company, FDI had the stated mission to “Stamp Out Financial Illiteracy Across the Country”. It was one of the companies that used an MLM business model to offer financial education and training. This training included issues such as fiscal responsibility, real estate, stock market speculation, cashflow management – all of these were meant to educate FDI members on their way to financial freedom.

Naturally, there was an income opportunity attached as well, where independent FDI reps could sell FDI’s products and services and generate a residual income for themselves, as well as educate and lead their own sales team or organization.

The FDI compensation model was based on 3 streams of income: 1 – fast start bonuses, designed to reward FDI reps for personal sales activity, which would double with the enrollment of 3 new reps in any given calendar month; 2 – leadership bonuses, which were based on the growth of the organization and got bigger when another leadership level was reached; 3- residual income, a monthly commission on each member of the team.

The reason we are using past tense here is that the company has undergone serious changes. The owner of Financial Destinations Inc., William Andreoli, has teamed up with Kuba Fabiarz, owner of GIConnect, a 16-year old telecom company that is said to have been functioning in 62 countries and to have had over 800,000 representatives. …The result? FDI International, a company that aims to get involved in 7 areas of telecom, as they say: landlines (home and business), wireless/cell, long-distance, international calls, calling cards, internet and corporate solutions.

Their plan is to help their customers save 50% or more on their phone bills. Having the global experience of GIConnect, FDI International is planning to launch in 60 countries at the same time. Their main product seems to be the FDIVoice (hands free and service), which allows you to convert voice messages to text messages, so you can avoid texting while driving, to make calls or send e-mails using voice commands, or have your e-mail read to you via a voice application. Other products include affordable smart phones for their customers, that are exclusive to the company (mobile), Multi-line voice phones (fixed) with global connectivity, VideoPhones with connection to big-screen TV’s or computer monitors and free international calls between FDI Video Phones. Their future plans include support for calling while travelling via airplane. With these products they hope to gain a market unparalleled before. They also aim to have no taxes on the phone bills and services, no credit checks and no tying contracts for their services.

As for the FDI International compensation plan, it resembles in some points the initial FDI plan, but seems to be greatly improved. They are boasting now multiple income streams: apart from the already known Fast Start and Double Fast Start Bonuses, a 50% Matching Fast Start Bonus, Advancement Bonuses, 4 levels of Matching Residual Income and that is not all.

FDI International is indeed full of promises. Let’s see if they can live up to them. As with any new business (even if the company is not new), you run certain risks, which is up to you if you want to assume. One certain thing is, however, that such an MLM business cannot be conducted in the old school fashion. You’ll have to promote the opportunity online, by taking advantage of the power of the internet to expand your team, and in order to do this, you have to get good online marketing tools and strategies. These are not easy to acquire, but not really difficult either, if you find a skilled marketing mentor who is willing to guide you. And if you do acquire these online network marketing skills, you can use them for the future in any other MLM business that may peak your interest.

MLM SCAMS – Is there really such a thing or is it hype?

With so many companies being introduced oftentimes so many products to offer, I’m sure you have heard of MLM business. A home based business network which is always mistakenly associated with pyramiding scam. Others have these impressions because they merely judge that all MLM business fails and never standout or stood for years. Well failures of other MLM network companies shouldn’t be mistook that ALL MLM will fall into same fate, that’s not true. In fact up to now, there’s MLM business that has propagated and proved they have acquired successes all throughout. These companies are reputable MLM networking business that has stood over the past 50 years: AVON, Mary Kay, Tupperware and others. So to answer the question…a BIG NO!?

MLM business is a great home based business for it requires low cost budgets for starters or simple entrepreneurs and anybody could venture in an MLM company. This allows the member to undergo a leverage process which could acquire very large organization in a small period of time. Leverage is a process where you can acquire multitude of team members who will work together establishing a business. In starting MLM business there will be lots of people joining your team resulting in more team members and you leveling yourself up step by step becoming an upline. The power of leverage is you accumulate certain points and percentage for every purchase and that the work is not done all by yourself.

A real MLM or Network Marketing company is NOT a scam at all. It is an extremely lucrative business to get involved in if you follow a regimented proven plan.
Try to research the following companies above. And you will notice that they have branched out worldwide and still visible actively propagating in the business industry today. Failures of some MLM business have somehow dragged the reputation of these successful companies, causing negative impressions to other uprising other MLM companies with a more systematic and effective marketing plan. If however they are right about the connotation that “MLM business is a scam then they will not produce any visible products which are researched, studied, and given so much effort in experimentation to give a more well balance, beneficial impact on people. Lab research, lab experts, nutrition experts, engineered designs, premier ingredients, systems studied… these required huge amount of money from paying people behind successful products to unique and expensive blends of ingredients either food supplements, coffee, household products, garments, or services in cost production of every product.

So who would say that all these companies are fraud? Who in the world would spend so much to produce a single product or varieties of products if the entrepreneurs themselves can foresee that later on their company would collapse? Even prominent business icons engage in this kind of business regardless of the fact that if ever the companies they’re promoting where to not click or possibly collapse, they themselves definitely know this to be a risk, that is their good reputation plus investments in business will be sacrificed. Remember in order to become a successful entrepreneur you need to spend lots of money to introduce products according to the demands of consumer and of course ensure safety. Of course, companies need to have effective products otherwise lots will attest whether a product is effective or fake resulting a failed company. No companies dare to fall on that kind of fate that’s why they’re ensuring the best quality product.

MLM businesses are definitely not fraud, hoax nor scam. The common mistakes that people often overlook are the future stability of the company and its products. People should resort to experts or those who have already years of experience in MLM business if they are truly skeptical about joining the company or study the plans of the company and the quality of products they are offering to the public. The amount of time they have spent in researching to come up an effective quality product and their aim. Is it really customers’ satisfaction or sole company’s satisfaction over accumulating money from consumers then disappear?

Be aware that they look for real people so don’t go pitching your business right out the gate they will see right through that.

You have to provide the necessary things that your target market are looking for. For knowledge-seekers, offer them quality information. While for connectors, offer them real connection. Let them know that you want to build rapport with them. In this, you may use your social media accounts to prove that you are real.

Last…

If you already know your target and how to approach them, then it’s time for you to be consistent on connecting with them. Give time and effort to achieve what you want. By being consistent, you are able to establish your credibility as a marketer.
