Financial Destinations Inc. (later FDI International) is a privately held company, founded in 2003 and headquartered in Windham, New Hampshire. It was founded by William Andreoli, now CEO and President of the company.

Known in its first years as a financial education company, FDI had the stated mission to “Stamp Out Financial Illiteracy Across the Country”. It was one of the companies that used an MLM business model to offer financial education and training. This training included issues such as fiscal responsibility, real estate, stock market speculation, cashflow management – all of these were meant to educate FDI members on their way to financial freedom.

Naturally, there was an income opportunity attached as well, where independent FDI reps could sell FDI’s products and services and generate a residual income for themselves, as well as educate and lead their own sales team or organization.

The FDI compensation model was based on 3 streams of income: 1 – fast start bonuses, designed to reward FDI reps for personal sales activity, which would double with the enrollment of 3 new reps in any given calendar month; 2 – leadership bonuses, which were based on the growth of the organization and got bigger when another leadership level was reached; 3- residual income, a monthly commission on each member of the team.

The reason we are using past tense here is that the company has undergone serious changes. The owner of Financial Destinations Inc., William Andreoli, has teamed up with Kuba Fabiarz, owner of GIConnect, a 16-year old telecom company that is said to have been functioning in 62 countries and to have had over 800,000 representatives. …The result? FDI International, a company that aims to get involved in 7 areas of telecom, as they say: landlines (home and business), wireless/cell, long-distance, international calls, calling cards, internet and corporate solutions.

Their plan is to help their customers save 50% or more on their phone bills. Having the global experience of GIConnect, FDI International is planning to launch in 60 countries at the same time. Their main product seems to be the FDIVoice (hands free and service), which allows you to convert voice messages to text messages, so you can avoid texting while driving, to make calls or send e-mails using voice commands, or have your e-mail read to you via a voice application. Other products include affordable smart phones for their customers, that are exclusive to the company (mobile), Multi-line voice phones (fixed) with global connectivity, VideoPhones with connection to big-screen TV’s or computer monitors and free international calls between FDI Video Phones. Their future plans include support for calling while travelling via airplane. With these products they hope to gain a market unparalleled before. They also aim to have no taxes on the phone bills and services, no credit checks and no tying contracts for their services.

As for the FDI International compensation plan, it resembles in some points the initial FDI plan, but seems to be greatly improved. They are boasting now multiple income streams: apart from the already known Fast Start and Double Fast Start Bonuses, a 50% Matching Fast Start Bonus, Advancement Bonuses, 4 levels of Matching Residual Income and that is not all.

FDI International is indeed full of promises. Let’s see if they can live up to them. As with any new business (even if the company is not new), you run certain risks, which is up to you if you want to assume. One certain thing is, however, that such an MLM business cannot be conducted in the old school fashion. You’ll have to promote the opportunity online, by taking advantage of the power of the internet to expand your team, and in order to do this, you have to get good online marketing tools and strategies. These are not easy to acquire, but not really difficult either, if you find a skilled marketing mentor who is willing to guide you. And if you do acquire these online network marketing skills, you can use them for the future in any other MLM business that may peak your interest.

Below is an Interview I did with my Good Friend Jim Chao who is a Facebook Marketing Genius he has really got this down. He was visiting me recently and I was talking with him about some of his techiques and how he gets so many leads daily.  He went over everything with me step by step and man it is amazing.  See when it comes to marketing to be in the top 3% you seriously have to seperate yourself when it comes to branding this is something I teach on my blog in my coaching and to all my team members.  You want exposure Facebook is the way to get this exposure however it can also backfire on you if you don’t setup your account and abide by the rules of Facebook.   If you create value and attract people to you then you will find that your reputation will grow and you’ll gain followers, as well as people who will seriously want to listen to what you have to say and offer.

Jim also explained to me that the main things with regards to Facebook is so many people lead off with their MLM company and they just send out mass messages and post on walls all over the place which people get very annoyed with this technique and it doesn’t work period.  You must create you and then post value, tell about your family your lifestyle.  People want to know that you are real, honest and sincere in what you are doing and then and only then will you get people who will follow you on as a friend.  I’ll even go a step further with this it is not difficult to get friends especially since Facebook is so huge.  However to get those people to listen you must offer them something they want and need.    Facebook is like scrapbooking people love lifestyle, how your success is going and they want what you have but only if you create that value.

When setting up your Facebook you want to make sure first and foremost use your name or some form of it.  Don’t pick a name that is your company your are promoting that is not how to make Facebook work to your advantage it will weigh against you and you’ll end up instead of building your reputation in a positive way you’ll have the opposite effect.  You also want to make sure to have somewhere to send people like a blog where they can get training, value and or tips to grow their business.   The other thing we want to discuss is fan pages this is a must I think right out the gate so you can start to create that branding right away and especially if you have a blog start getting fans from there and from your facebook page itself.  This is a powerful tool when used right.

You want to spend about 30 mins a day minimum building up your account and building relations on their to gain friends, followers and fans alike.  Get a group setup this is so powerful along with your fan page all this tied together and with the proper skills you will seriously be able to explode your Facebook responses and leads.
